I am a Hibiscus 🌺

I'm a Hibiscus in the sun,

Growing, stretching, having fun

In the morning, I open wide

Showing my colors with happy pride

When worries come - drip, drip, drip

I fold my petals, tip by tip 

But with kind words and sunny cheer

I bloom again-LOOK!- I'm right here, 

like a Hibiscus, strong and true

I grow my best being just me-you too! 🌺☀️

    The Hibiscus is my absolute favorite plant. My Mother loved them as well.

 Everytime I hear or think of 'book club' I picture coffee and tea, deep conversations, and one person who always says "i didn't read this time." Not going to lie that's me sometimes in class readings🫢😭. But enough with that.  I've never actually been apart of a real book club-the kind where people meet up, sip coffee or tea, and talk about books for hours (which I secretly wish I had). Honestly, the idea of starting one never even crossed my mind until recently. Now that I'm older and genuinely love reading, the thought of creating my own book club sounds amazing. Being able to share the same interests in books, hear different perspectives, and build a small community around a single story feels really special.

My Favorite Picture Book 🌈

One picture book that has really stuck with me is A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon. This book is such a classic, and honestly, it's hard not to love. It's colorful, a little silly, and somehow still hits you with a meaningful message.  What really makes this book special to me is the message about being yourself. It reminds readers, especially kids, that trying to please everyone else can make you lose sight of who you are. A Bad Case of Stripes delivers that lesson in a way that feels cozy, funny, and memorable instead of preachy. It's the kind of book that makes you smile, laugh, and maybe even think a little-which is why it's my favorite.
